Fulham coach Marco Silva stated, “We have to respect Liverpool but of course do our job and trust ourselves, we had a terrific first half, virtually perfect the way we controlled and blocked. “We consistently matched them in the second half.

“I am here to get the best out of my players, and I am aware of the talent Mitrovic possesses. Mitrovic is not just good at scoring goals; he also applies continual pressure and did an excellent job all around.”

On the 32nd minute, Neeskens Kebano led a break down the right side for Fulham, who scored their first goal.
Kenny Tete received the ball from Kebano, and he crossed the ball into the area. Mitrovic headed it past Alisson.

Nunez then made his Premier League debut with a goal to spare Liverpool’s face. He scored right after the hour mark after taking over for Roberto Firmino after 51 minutes.

The Uruguayan international directed a low ball Salah slipped into the box beyond Marek Rodak from close range.

On minute 72, Mitrovic was brought to the ground by Virgil van Dijk’s challenge, and Fulham was subsequently given a penalty. The international player from Serbia calmly made the penalty kick.

On the 80th minute, Salah equalized for Liverpool after being set up by Nunez.
Five minutes into extra time, Jordan Henderson came within five seconds of completing Liverpool’s comeback when he hit the crossbar from outside the area.

The outcome of the game, according to Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp, was the best aspect of it. “Despite playing poorly, we managed to earn a point. The outcome was satisfactory; I don’t believe we were due anything better. Performance can be greatly enhanced.

“We had good chances to win the game, but tonight it was definitely a little too much,” said the player.
