Recover and Polopiqu have teamed up in a new multi-year collaboration to accomplish sustainable production and offer end-to-end solutions for the garment sector. Leading textile manufacturer Polopiqu is situated in Portugal, and Recover is based in the US and produces low-impact recycled cotton fiber and cotton fiber mixes.

From spinning, weaving, and finishing to product design and marketing, Polopiqu has mastered every phase of the textile production process. Recover and Polopiqu stated in a joint media release that by incorporating Recover fiber into its process, the two businesses can serve brands and retailers at every stage of the supply chain and develop a simple solution for brands to make entirely sustainable garments, at scale.

The Portuguese business is committed to growing by vertically integrating its production cycle sustainably into the industry’s value chain. To date, its products have at least 50% organic cotton and GRS-certified recycled polyester. The company will further lessen its environmental impact by using Recover’s recovered cotton fiber with the lowest environmental impact.

Together, the two businesses may expand their global reach and client closeness. To meet market demand, Recover will establish new production hubs in Bangladesh and Pakistan in 2021, while Polopiqu is already selling to 47 countries and working with 1,065 partners globally.

According to a press release, they both give brands the chance to benefit from Recover’s recycled cotton fibers across its product lines as well as assist them in achieving their sustainability objectives and addressing the environmental problems that cotton consumption causes.
