Votes were received from The Perfume Shop’s Facebook community and we can announce that Holly Willoughby & Gary Barlow have been crowned Women’s and Men’s ‘Nose of the Year’ for 2011.

The awards launched in September on The Perfume Shop’s very own Facebook page. Taking social media to the next level, the perfume experts set out to find overall winners in a collection of six categories by letting the Facebook fans decide. With fans voting non-stop until midnight on Wednesday 12th October, the winners are now in.

The winners are:

•      Best Women’s launch – WINNER - DKNY Golden Delicious

•       Best Men’s Launch - WINNER – Boss Orange

•       Best Celebrity Launch - WINNER – Beyoncé Heat

•       Best Bottle Design - WINNER – Paco Rabanne Lady Million

•       Celebrity you would most like to launch a scent - WINNER – Cheryl Cole

•      Nose of the Year  - WINNER – (Women’s) Holly Willoughby(Men’s )– Gary Barlow

Holly Willoughby won ‘Nose of the Year’ beating the likes of Pixie Lott for the winning female title.  The regular daytime TV favourite and mum of two is the perfect winner and won with a staggering lead over the other nominees. This year’s X- Factor heartthrob Gary Barlow tipped the male category taking away the winning ‘Nose of the Year’ award.

The Queen of R’n’B Beyonce Knowles shone out high above the rest of the celebrity launches in 2011 and added her first ‘Love Perfume’ Award to her collection celebrating her debut scent, Beyonce Heat.

Cheryl Cole was named the top celebrity that voters would most like to see launch a fragrance…after a solo career, heading for stardom in LA and a shoe launch; we can only say watch this space!

The top Men’s and Women’s New Launch were awarded to Boss Orange Man & DKNY Golden Delicious. Both hugely successful brands, these scents are sure to be great gift ideas for Christmas. With its innovative gold diamond shaped bottle, the award for Best Bottle Design went to Paco Rabanne Lady Million.

Each fan that voted automatically entered themselves into a prize draw to win a hamper worth over £650, with 10 runners up winning a bottle of perfume each.

Michelle D’vaz, National Advertising & PR Manager said, “Launching The Perfume Shop ‘Love Perfume’ Awards has offered a fantastic opportunity to ask our customers what their favourite products are and ascertain which brands are most popular . Customer feedback is such an important part of our business and we continue to reflect on what our customers want, in order to improve on our service and product range. We would like to thank everyone who voted - we are already looking forward to next year’s awards!”
